AbouT me
My name is David Black, I graduated from Heriot Watt University in 2015, with a MA in Fashion & Textiles, specialising in Sustainable Fashion.

I officially launched House of Black in 2017, since then I have built the brand up from a bag of scraps and a sewing machine in my bedroom, to a sustainable fashion brand, offering products in two stockists and my own small studio space, and I am continuing to grow.

Sustainable fashion can be fun and exciting, you don't have to sacrifice style to make a difference to the environment. By shopping with HoB, not only are you supporting a local business, you are helping to reduce the amount of textile waste going to landfill. One small change can make a big difference.
Not only do all of my products produce zero-waste, they are all ethically produced by myself, locally in Glasgow, Scotland.

My goal with HoB is to do a bit of good for the environment and also make people feel good about the way they look and dress.

Welcome to the House of Black, please make yourself at home!
